Does it need my Instagram password?

No. SaveMe does not ask for an Instagram password.

Why might a public Reel fail?

Platform-side changes or access checks can temporarily prevent a resolver from processing a particular URL.

Can I save photos?

Not in this version. The current tool is focused on supported video media.
